How to… Install a satellite dish (Text Tutorial)

We’ll see how to fit together a parable!

Material Used:

  1. Tool box;
  2. Satellite dish;
  3. Pole mounting brackets, bolts and arm for the dish (often sold together with the dish);
  4. Coaxial cable for Dish to Decoder distance;
  5. LNB (low noise block);
  6. Tester satellite signal;
  7. Decoder.

Let’s start…

Take the pole and fix it the designated point using brackets and bolts (fix it well, preferably relying to a railing existing).

Set the arm of the dish to the pole and therefore the parable, taking care to don’t over tighten bolts…we have to pointing it out later!

Position LNB in its housing and fix it with the bolts.

Connect the cable that will go in the decoder to the LNB converter and, with the aid of a tester for the satellite signal, couple the satellite.

Screw the parabola’s bolts and connect the second end of the coaxial cable to the decoder.
